VBP Reaches 3 Years!

VBP Reaches 3 Years!

From a single concept to a company with 43 clients and counting, VBP grew into a continually progressing business that doesn’t only aim to provide great service, but to also provide a happy working environment that is conducive for the learning and improvement of our team.

The past 3 years haven’t been easy, but being able to nurture the company into a rich culture with a happy team that works together as a family, we could all say that everything we’ve been through was worth it.

Stilettos, Singing and Surprises!

Dashing monsieurs and mademoiselles sauntered their way to the Mandarin Plaza Hotel last 6 August 2016 to celebrate VBP’s first ever Talent and Awards Night. The event was intended to exhibit the talents and acknowledge the efforts of our dear VBP employees who have been dedicating a part of their lives not only to foster the continued growth of the company but also to maintain the harmonious relationship between the company and its clients.

One of the highlights of the event was the presentation of the nominees for the Employee of the Year Award. Heartwarming messages and positive feedback from their proud clients for the great work they have done made the vying for the award a very close fight. The crowd cheered when David Carney announced that two awardees are flying to Australia. Among the other well-deserved awards are the Beyond the Call of Duty Award, Consider it Done Award, the Super Awesome Awards, Support Person of the Year Award (also chosen to go to Australia), Rising Star Award, and the Lived the Core Values Award.

Talent was definitely on display!

The event has also showcased the talents of our dear VBP nightingales and dancefloor enthusiasts who spiced up the night with an excellent display of bravura.

The winners are an accurate representation of what VBP is truly all about. The plaques and trophies that were given are just snippets of the larger picture that we are one family and every employee deserves to be recognized – for the little efforts, for the positivity, and for the resolute mornings that they wake up to get their tasks done for the day. The night was culminated with joyous dancing and partying and everyone went home triumphant and satisfied.

Second office space launched, VBP culture showcased

Second office space launched, VBP culture showcased

VBP’s second office space was launched last April 7, 2016, with a short programme and engagement of the staff with the invited guests.

Located at Mango Square Building, General Maxilom Avenue, Cebu City, VBP expanded and doubled its office space as its clients grew 142% by the end of 2015 and now with over 80 team members and growing rapidly, hence, the demand for more work space for onboarding employees.

Apart from the physical expansion, VBP has grown into a culture-led business. Its new set of core values were also introduced during the launching—core values embodying the company’s purpose, culture and its team members’ role in growing the business.

VBP CEO David Carney introduced various programs set up to inspire the VBP team members to nurture the business, while having so much fun. Among these programs is the VBP Playroom which will allow the company’s moms and dads to bring along their kids to work during nanny emergencies. VBP believes that if they take care of their team members, their team members will in return, take very good care of their clients.

There were also engagement activities with the invited guests, through Pinoy games. In time for the launching, 2 of VBP’s Australian advice firm clients visited their team here in the Philippines. Ray Albrighton and Adam Gale from Announcer (VBP’s first client) and Frank Welsh of Community Financial Services with his lovely wife Rhonda—and they too, enjoyed the famous Hep hep hooray!

Other invited guests are the team members’ friends and acquaintances who may be interested in working with VBP in the future. They were invited to do a meet and greet with the staff and experience for themselves, the VBP culture.

The VBP culture is the brand that the company nurtures to set itself as the best place to work at in Cebu, and in the long term, in the Philippines—a Big.Hairy.Audacious.Goal that VBP is very much willing to invest in.

In this goal, both the company’s management and its team members each have their unique role to take. So that in 10 years, VBP will grow to 500 team members providing solutions for the management of the non-client facing activities of 200 Australian advice planning firms.
